Racing and training news

Well the news just keeps getting better. Guy Holbrow has qualified for the GB Age Group team for the ITU World Triathlon Championships in London in not just the sprint distance but the Olympic distance too! Nice work. Guy is having a phenomenal year!

If you missed the ITU racing from Hamburg over the weekend you should definately check out the highlights. The finish in the men’s elite race was awesome!

The women’s elite race was also a fantastic race. If you want to see some incredible running just watch Anne Haug drop the rest of the field to take the win.

The Brit’s looked certain to take a third team triathlon world title however Non Stanford crashed on the bike leaving the race wide open. If you have not seen a team triathlon race before I think it really is the most exciting form of racing in triathlon. The Kiwi’s take silver behind the German team!

Just a note about Tuesday’s track session this week. The track is still out of action so we will meet beside the sports pavilion like last week. There is bike parking there. Do not bring anything that are not willing to run with as anything left with the bikes will be out of our sight once we start training.

See you at training, Tim (LFTC Coach).
